Terms
Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of Oscar's Daycare Centre. The binding version is the one you accept at the moment you enrol or book; that version is recorded against your account.
1. Who we are
Oscar's Daycare Centre is operated by Oscar's Daycare from Summer Cottage, Cane End, Reading, RG4 9HG, under licence from South Oxfordshire District Council (our licence details are displayed at the premises and available on request). You can reach us by email at info@oscarsdaycarecentre.co.uk or by phone on 07342 225523.
2. Enrolment and approval
Before your dog can attend, you must complete an enrolment and have it approved by us. Approval is at our discretion and may follow a settling-in or assessment day. We may decline or withdraw a place if we believe attendance is not in the best interests of your dog, the other dogs, or our team.
You agree that the information you provide at enrolment is accurate and that you will keep it up to date, including your contact details, emergency contact, vet, and any change in your dog’s health or behaviour.
3. Vaccinations and health
Your dog must be up to date with its core vaccinations and you must provide evidence at enrolment and whenever it is renewed. We recommend kennel cough vaccination and require effective flea and worm treatment to be maintained.
Please do not bring your dog if it is unwell, has been sick or had diarrhoea in the previous 48 hours, or has any contagious condition. Bitches in season cannot attend. We may refuse a dog that appears unwell on arrival.
4. Pricing and payment
Doggy Daycare is charged at £40 per dog per day. Bookings are made through this platform and paid at the time of booking. We may change our prices from time to time; the price that applies to a booking is the one shown when you make it.
5. Bookings, cancellations and late collection
Daycare places are limited, so please book in advance. If you need to cancel, let us know as early as you can; refund and credit eligibility is as set out at the time of booking, and missed days without notice may be charged.
Please collect your dog within our published opening hours. Late collection may incur a charge and repeated late collection may affect future bookings.
6. Behaviour and group care
Dogs are cared for in supervised groups and spend time off-lead. We group dogs by temperament and size and manage the day in their interests. You must tell us about any behavioural issues, including reactivity, resource guarding, or any history of aggression, so we can keep everyone safe. We may separate or send home a dog whose behaviour presents a risk.
7. Health emergencies and veterinary care
If your dog becomes unwell or is injured while in our care and we cannot reach you or your emergency contact, you authorise us to seek veterinary treatment, ordinarily from your registered vet or the nearest available practice. You agree to meet the cost of any such treatment.
8. Photographs
With the photo consent you give at enrolment, we may photograph or film your dog for your own dog updates and for our team. Where you have agreed, we may also use images on our website and social media. You can withdraw or change this consent at any time by contacting us.
9. Liability and insurance
We hold public liability insurance and take all reasonable care of the dogs we look after. However, daycare involves dogs playing together off-lead, which carries inherent risks, and we cannot guarantee against minor scratches, scrapes or the spread of illness between dogs. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to loss or injury caused by our negligence.
You are responsible for any injury or damage caused by your dog and confirm your dog has no known history of aggression towards people or other dogs. Personal belongings left with your dog are brought at your own risk.
10. Data protection
We handle your and your dog’s personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version you accepted at enrolment or booking continues to apply to that arrangement until you accept an updated version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
