Privacy policy

Oscar's Daycare is the controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about privacy or your data at info@oscarsdaycarecentre.co.uk or by phone on 07342 225523.

Account and contact details: your name, email, phone, and address and postcode (used for eligibility and to reach you).

Your dog’s details: name, breed, age, health and dietary notes, behaviour notes, vaccination evidence, vet contact, and an emergency contact - used to care for your dog safely. Plus your booking and payment history, and any dog-day updates and photos we share with you.

Payment is processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

To provide the service you ask for and to administer your bookings and account (performance of a contract). To meet legal obligations such as tax record-keeping (legal obligation). To keep dogs and people safe and to run and improve our service (legitimate interests). We use photographs of your dog only with the consent you give, which you can withdraw at any time.

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our database and file hosting (Supabase, in the EU), payment processing (Stripe), and email and text notifications (Resend and Twilio). We do not sell your data. We may share information where we are required to by law or to protect the safety of a dog or person.

Your data is held in the EU (London region). We do not move personal data to providers outside the UK or EU unless it is unavoidable and appropriate safeguards are in place.

Booking and payment records: 7 years (HMRC requirement). Dog-day updates and photos: 2 years. Inactive dog profiles: 3 years from your last booking. Tour and enquiry requests: 12 months. We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email us at info@oscarsdaycarecentre.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

We use only the cookies necessary to sign you in and keep the site working. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always applies and is published on this page.
